Expert API Management Google Apigee

Project overview

As part of the SI APIzation project, the client is currently deploying the Google APIGEE solution.

The objective is to design, secure, industrialize, and operate a robust, scalable API Management platform compliant with DevSecOps best practices. The sought-after provider will act as an API Management architect/expert, capable of supporting internal teams in architecture, governance, automation, security, operations, and best practices.

• Design of the Apigee Hybrid target architecture (runtime, management plane, synchronization, monitoring).
• Integration with the GCP ecosystem (IAM, Cloud Armor, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Artifact Registry…).
• Definition of API exposure, security, and governance patterns.
• Implementation of Shared Flows, Policies, and cross-functional standards.
• Implementation & Industrialization
• Deployment of Apigee Hybrid on OpenShift (or equivalent Kubernetes).
• Automation of CI/CD pipelines with Tekton and ArgoCD.
• Provisioning and configuration via Terraform.
• Automation of operations via Ansible.
• Integration with HashiCorp Vault for secret management.
• Security & Governance
• Definition and implementation of security policies (OAuth2, JWT, MTLS, quotas, rate limiting…).
• Implementation of an API governance framework (naming, versioning, lifecycle management).
• Support for compliance and DevSecOps best practices.
• Support for teams & skills transfer
• Coaching of development and operations teams.
• Writing guides, standards, templates for proxies and shared flows.
• Participation in architecture and urbanization committees.
• API architect or API Management expert with 5 to 10 years of experience.
• Significant experience with Apigee Hybrid in production.
• Ability to work in complex and secure environments.
• Proactive in proposing best practices and industrialization.
• Confirmed expertise on Google Apigee Hybrid (mandatory).
• Design of proxies, policies, shared flows, API products.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization.
• Google Cloud Platform (IAM, networking, security, logging).
• OpenShift / Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, observability).
• CI/CD pipelines with Tekton, ArgoCD.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible.
• Secret management: Vault.
• API protocols (REST, gRPC), OAuth2, JWT, MTLS.
• Logging, tracing, monitoring (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana…).
