Job description
The IT department of a major car manufacturer is seeking an IT pilot to manage the industrialization, deployment, and operational readiness of the AMR HIK Robot solution in factories. This role involves technical and operational oversight, ensuring convergence with IT standards, risk management, and coordination of various stakeholders.
Project overview
Context
The scope of the service consists of:
Ensuring, on behalf of the IT Department of a major car manufacturer, the technical and operational management of the industrialization, deployment, and operational readiness of the AMR HIK Robot solution in factories for the IT part, guaranteeing convergence towards DIR standards, control of technical and cyber risks, coordination of manufacturer/HIK/integrator stakeholders, the transition to RUN, and monitoring of deployed sites.
The service covers the following aspects:
Global management and governance: consolidated IT roadmap, multi-site master plan, action/risk/decision registers, preparation of meetings and alerts on Quality/Cost/Deadline deviations.
Factory deployment monitoring: coordination of IT prerequisites for each site, factory checklist, architectural compliance, monitoring of deviations, waivers, and GO conditions, technical acceptance.
IT architecture, capacity, and standardization: reference architecture document, consistency of each factory with the standard, capacity planning, arbitration documents, and feedback.
Network, Wi-Fi, and IT/OT interfaces: flow mapping and opening, VLAN/DNS/routing needs, AMR interfaces, qualification of industrial exchanges, and Wi-Fi coverage.
Integration with the industrial information system: interface matrix, HIK APIs, PLC links (OPC UA/Modbus), data upload to GCP Datalake via NiFi, data dictionary, and end-to-end acceptance. No critical interface can go into production without an owner, documentation, validated flows, supervision, tests, and a degraded mode procedure.
Cybersecurity and compliance: Security Configurator per site, cyber checklist, deviations and remediations, pentests and vulnerabilities, traceability for audits, and maintenance of rules over time.
HIK versions and qualification environment: RCS/RCMS and OS version repository, centralization of evolution requests, qualification tests, GO/NO GO decision, and deployment monitoring with integrators.
Operational readiness and preparation for RUN transition: DEX/SCA/RACI, CMDB/IRN, supervision, backup/restore, access and authorizations, knowledge transfer, and operational acceptance.
HIK proprietary applications on Windows PCs and mobile terminals: inventory, component verification, Windows Kiosk kits, SOTI integration, tests and pilot, rollback plan, maintenance, and coverage indicators.
Support organization and monitoring: support RACI, incident manager per factory, escalations and SLAs, integrator N2 support and HIK Robot N3 support, end-to-end tests, KPIs, and RCA.
HIK Robot and integrator management: centralization of technical questions, commitment register, supplier technical meetings, country/factory/integrator mapping, and escalation of delays and risks.
Documentation, configuration, and capitalization: document structure, consistency of information per site, version and decision history, lessons learned, and evidence for audits.
Deliverables
Each aspect results in the following deliverables:
Global management and governance: consolidated roadmap; master plan; action/risk/decision register; summary dashboard; technical and steering committee support materials.
Factory deployment monitoring: monitoring sheet per factory; deployment checklist; list of deviations and waivers; minutes of meetings.
IT architecture, capacity, and standardization: updated architecture document; site/standard compliance matrix; capacity planning; arbitration documents.
Network, Wi-Fi, and IT/OT interfaces: updated flow map; flow/site/status matrix; list of interfaces and dependencies; network/Wi-Fi anomaly register.
Integration with the industrial information system: functional and application map; interface and responsibility matrix; API documents; OPC UA/Modbus PLC specifications; AMR data dictionary; OPC UA → NiFi → GCP Datalake document; end-to-end acceptance test book and results; degraded mode procedures.
Cybersecurity and compliance: Security Configurator per site; cyber checklist; remediation plan; pentest/vulnerability monitoring; evidence document.
HIK versions and qualification environment: version repository; qualification document; test results; GO/NO GO decision; deployment plan.
Operational readiness and preparation for RUN transition: updated DEX/SCA/RACI; escalation scheme; RUN transition checklist; supervision document; backup/restore document; transfer minutes.
HIK proprietary applications on Windows PCs and mobile terminals: application/version repository; compatibility matrix; packaging documents; validated Windows kits; mobile/SOTI packages and profiles; test book and results; pilot and GO/NO GO minutes; deployment/rollback plan; inventory matrix; maintenance procedures; dashboard.
Support organization and monitoring: support RACI; directory and escalation matrix; SLA matrix; support test minutes; incident/RCA dashboard.
Pilotage HIK Robot and integrators: questions/commitments register; technical meeting minutes; integrator map; escalation monitoring.
Documentation, configuration, and capitalization: document repository; multi-site document index; decision/versioning log; lessons learned and updated templates.
