Mission Context

Within a Mainframe Middleware engineering team, you will work on a very large-scale Mainframe platform, one of the largest in Europe. You will join the Transactional Engines team, composed of eight members located in Paris and Bordeaux.

You will be responsible for the administration, operational maintenance, and evolution of the IMS component in complex, shared, and critical Mainframe environments.

You will collaborate with technical, operational, and project teams, as well as with an international service center based in the Czech Republic.

Profile Sought

We are looking for an autonomous and rigorous Mainframe expert specialized in IMS, capable of working in complex and sensitive environments.

You have excellent analytical skills, a good sense of synthesis, and fluid communication with various technical stakeholders. Your service orientation, methodical approach, and ability to work in an international context are essential.

Work Environment

• Administer and maintain IMS environments on IBM z/OS Mainframe.
• Manage obsolescence, vulnerabilities, and technical evolutions of the component.
• Monitor the operation of IMS and associated administration tools.
• Handle installation, configuration, and evolution requests.
• Detect, analyze, and resolve incidents and anomalies, participating in escalation and crisis management procedures.
• Perform reliability, optimization, and continuous improvement operations.
• Provide technical and security expertise to projects operating on transactional environments.
• Support operational and project teams, and adapt operating procedures and instructions.
• Conduct technological watch to ensure components are kept up-to-date.
• Participate in platform evolution projects and regularly communicate in English with the international service center.
• Proven expertise in IBM IMS middleware on Mainframe.
• Proficiency with IMS administration tools, particularly AMI Ops, Fault Analyzer, and MainView.
• Good command of SYSPLEX architectures: implementation, administration, and monitoring.
• Solid knowledge of the IBM z/OS system environment.
• Experience in operations, MCO (Maintenance in Operational Condition), incident management, and Mainframe technical evolutions.
• Professional English mandatory, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of CICS and CTG.
• Knowledge of z/OS Connect, APIs, and Web Services.
• Experience with critical and highly shared Mainframe environments.
• Technology: IBM z/OS Mainframe.
• Main component: IMS (essential expertise).
• Architecture: SYSPLEX and non-SYSPLEX.
• Tools: AMI Ops, Fault Analyzer, MainView.
• Associated components: CICS, CTG, z/OS Connect, API, and Web Services.
• Team: 8 people within the Transactional Engines unit.
