Project overview

We are looking for an Expert Python Streamlit in Neuilly sur Seine for a 1-month renewable mission.

Senior Python Developer specializing in application auditing and Streamlit application development, with a dual focus: auditing existing systems, improving existing systems, and defining best practices (architecture, development patterns, standards) on one hand, and initiating initial developments and supporting/supervising the developer(s) on the other.

The position reports to the head of the Data Solutions team. The employee works in conjunction with the Data Engineering, IT Architecture, Cybersecurity teams, and the product owner.

The Data & AI team has recently implemented a Streamlit/Snowflake application to provide its internal users with a library of on-demand extractions.

The mission consists of auditing this application (study of existing code, formalizing actionable recommendations, then contributing to their implementation). The mission also includes the design, development, and deployment of at least one new extraction, as well as supporting the internal team in implementing recommendations and supervising initial developments.

Job Objective

Ensure the quality, security, maintainability, and performance of the existing application, while framing the future development of the next evolutions and other robust, documented, and production-ready Streamlit applications.

• Perform Python and SQL code reviews on the existing application.
• Evaluate code quality: readability, modularity, maintainability, error handling, and adherence to internal standards.
• Identify technical debt, application risks, and operational fragility points.
• Analyze performance: execution times, SQL queries, Snowflake access, Python processing, and resource consumption.
• Control security aspects: secret management, access rights, sensitive data, traceability, and secure development best practices.
• Document findings, classify recommendations by criticality, and define a prioritized remediation plan.
• Implement validated recommendations on the existing system: refactoring, bug fixing, optimization, and documentation improvement.
• Redefine application development patterns.
• Develop dashboards for steering, analysis, and operational monitoring.
• Integrate Snowflake data via SQL and appropriate Python connectors.
• Optimize SQL queries and data access flows to ensure response times and cost control.
• Implement unit tests and integration tests on critical components.
• Contribute to industrialization: Git, branches, code review, packaging, configuration, and deployment.
