As part of the evolution of its shared digital platform, they are looking for a freelance SRE to strengthen the reliability, performance, and resilience of their technical environment.

Job Description

Your Mission

As an SRE Expert, you will be at the heart of the Platform Engineering team to structure and industrialize the reliability practices of a shared digital platform.

Your objective: ensure a platform that is available, performant, and resilient, while sustainably reducing the operational load on the teams.

You will play a cross-functional role, at the intersection of architecture, automation, observability, and collaboration with development teams and the platform's user entities.

You will contribute in particular to:

You will work in a distributed technical environment, in contact with the Platform Engineering teams, development teams, and the various user entities of the platform.

• Audit and make the platform reliable: analyze the existing architecture, identify operational risks, and propose concrete improvements in terms of availability, performance, and resilience.
• Define and manage reliability indicators: build and improve SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets, and contribute to a proactive approach to reliability.
• Strengthen observability and incident management: structure the monitoring of metrics, logs, and traces, improve alerts and dashboards, formalize runbooks, and develop post-mortem practices.
• Industrialize and automate operations: reduce manual interventions through automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and standardization of cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Secure deployments and improve resilience: optimize CI/CD pipelines, strengthen progressive deployment strategies, rollback mechanisms, and recovery procedures.
• Advance SRE practices: collaborate with delivery teams and consuming entities, share best practices, and build a roadmap for continuous improvement.
• Sustainably improve the availability and performance of critical services.
• Reduce recurring incidents, resolution time, and operational load.
• Strengthen team autonomy through reproducible tools, standards, and procedures.
• Define a pragmatic, prioritized SRE roadmap driven by performance indicators.
