Expert in Operational Accounting

Project overview

We, emagine GmbH, are looking for an experienced Accounting Expert (m/f/d) with a focus on Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Purchase-to-Pay (PTP), who has sound SAP knowledge and extensive experience in the optimization, management, and further development of accounting and controlling processes in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Support of OTC processes (Order-to-Cash) and PTP processes (Purchase-to-Pay).
• Focus on supporting and further developing OTC processes, including customer master data, sales order and billing processes, accounts receivable management, and special processes such as expat billing.
• Management and quality assurance of operational process execution by the external accounting service provider, as well as coordination and clarification of process and system issues with the specialist departments.
• Support in managing the external accounting service provider and interface function between specialist departments, central purchasing, operational accounting, and suppliers.
• Requirements, documentation, execution of quality gates, and status reporting. Process support and system integration.
• Support in financial reporting processes during month-end closing.
• Continuous optimization and further development of existing accounting processes as well as implementation of new requirements based on internal and regulatory specifications.

Requirements

• A completed degree in business administration with a focus on accounting/controlling or a comparable course of study.
• Several years of experience in accounting, particularly in the areas of Purchase-to-Pay (PTP) and Order-to-Cash (OTC), including invoice creation, payment processing, and dunning.
• Very good SAP knowledge.
• Experience in the design of methods, processes, and systems for accounting and controlling-relevant corporate processes.
• Basic understanding of tax and regulatory requirements (e.g., VAT, commercial law, and IFRS).
• Knowledge of compliance with accounting compliance requirements.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (esp. PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong analytical, interdisciplinary, and integrative thinking and acting in an international environment.
• Ability to communicate complex issues in a target-group-oriented manner.
• Intercultural competence and teamwork.
• Fluent German and English skills (min. C1)
