Financial Manager

Project overview

For a project, we are looking for a Financial Manager.

Responsibilities

Analysis and documentation of existing IT budget control, particularly regarding budget planning, forecasting, CAPEX/OPEX allocation, variance analysis, and management reporting, including deriving functional improvement suggestions.

Conception and further development of fundamentals for IT Financial Management, including cost models, cost allocation methods, economic feasibility studies, and functional ITFM standards.

Analysis and conceptual further development of IT Service Management regarding service catalog, service lifecycle, performance allocation, and the linking of IT services with cost, usage, and performance data.

Development and documentation of governance fundamentals for methods, processes, key figures, and control standards within the overall IT, including the presentation of existing deviations and functional harmonization suggestions.

Conception of an integrated data and reporting basis for budgets, costs, IT services, usage, and capacities, including the description of required data sources, key figures, data relationships, and quality requirements.

Analysis and documentation of project-related interfaces between IT departments, controlling, purchasing, service management, and IT leadership, as well as preparation of functional clarification and decision-making needs.

Identification and evaluation of standardization, optimization, and automation potentials, including the documentation of benefits, prerequisites, dependencies, and possible implementation options.

Creation of project-related results documentation and decision papers on the processed subject areas, including comprehensible recommendations, assumptions, and open points.

Your Know-how:

Several years of project experience in IT controlling, IT budget control, and IT Financial Management (ITFM)

Sound experience in budget planning, forecasting, and CAPEX/OPEX considerations in the IT environment

Proven experience in the conception of cost models, cost allocations, and economic feasibility studies

Sound knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and in structuring service catalogs and service lifecycles

Practical experience with relevant governance and control frameworks, particularly ITIL, TBM, and/or FinOps

Experience in the conception of reporting, BI, and data-based control models for IT costs, budgets, and services

Min. 5 years of relevant project experience in IT Financial Management, IT Controlling, or IT Budget Control

Fluent German language skills in speaking and writing (minimum C1)
