50Hertz operates the transmission grid in the north and east of Germany and makes an important contribution to the energy transition. As part of this project, the economic control of the overall IT is to be further developed, and a transparent, uniform basis for the control of IT budgets, costs, and services is to be created.

The focus is on linking IT costs, service procurement, service usage, and capacities. The goal is to analyze and harmonize existing structures, processes, and data foundations, and to conceptualize suitable cost models as well as data-based control and reporting foundations.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and further development of existing IT budget control, especially budget planning, forecasting, CAPEX/OPEX allocation, and management reporting
• Conception of IT cost models, cost allocation methods, and economic feasibility studies
• Further development of IT Service Management, especially regarding service catalogs, service lifecycles, and the allocation of costs to IT services
• Development and documentation of governance foundations, processes, key figures, and uniform control standards
• Conception of an integrated data and reporting basis for IT budgets, costs, services, usage, and capacities
• Coordination with interfaces from IT, Controlling, Purchasing, Service Management, and IT Management
• Identification of standardization, optimization, and automation potentials
• Creation of result documentation, recommendations for action, and decision proposals

Requirements

It is important that the relevant experience can be proven by personal project references from the last three years. These should describe the client, the period, the subject of the order, and the specific activities undertaken.

• At least five years of relevant project experience in IT Financial Management, IT Controlling, or IT Budget Control
• Sound knowledge of ITFM and ITSM
• Experience with budget planning, forecasting, and CAPEX/OPEX considerations in the IT environment
• Proven experience with cost models, cost allocations, and economic feasibility studies
• Knowledge of relevant frameworks such as ITIL, TBM, and/or FinOps
• Experience with reporting, BI, and data-based control models
• Experience in developing cross-departmental control models and structures
• Fluent German language skills (at least C1)
