Context

Our client, a growing French industrial SME with a production site, wishes to strengthen its finance function to support the development of its industrial and commercial activities. In an environment that is still poorly equipped, the company needs to make its forecasts more reliable, better link its financial and operational data, and gain a consolidated view of its prospects.

They are looking for an experienced FP&A Manager with a strong industrial culture, capable of intervening quickly in direct support of the Financial Director, with a very operational approach and strong autonomy.

Mission

• Build and validate the 2027 budget (priority #1)
• Analyze historical performance and existing budget files
• Collect and consolidate assumptions from commercial, production, operations, and finance functions
• Model volumes, prices, production costs, and industrial margins in line with the business model
• Integrate industrial costs, operating expenses, and investments
• Challenge operational managers' projections and build a dynamic, documented budget model
• Structure a 5-year business plan (priority #2)
• Update the financial, commercial, and industrial assumptions of the existing business plan
• Build an integrated financial model: income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
• Project revenue based on volumes, industrial capacities, and commercial assumptions
• Model industrial investments (CAPEX), working capital requirements (inventory, receivables, payables), and financing needs
• Develop growth scenarios and sensitivity analyses
• Validate financial and industrial data
• Map data sources from finance, commercial, and operations functions
• Improve visibility on production costs, inventory and its valuation, and operating margins
• Ensure consistency between financial data and industrial and commercial indicators
• Define control methods and contribute to the implementation of industrial and economic performance indicators
• Optimize tools and develop automation
• Streamline Excel models and simplify consolidation and reporting
• Identify automation levers (Power Query, BI, Python, AI, etc.) suitable for an industrial SME
• Develop simple, robust, and documented tools
• Support the Financial Director
• Secure budget deadlines alongside the Financial Director
• Liaise with industrial and commercial teams to build and challenge assumptions
• Develop the team's skills and ensure knowledge transfer at the end of the mission
