Responsibilities

• Independent management and execution of buy-side M&A transactions in Northwest Europe with a focus on Germany
• End-to-end responsibility for acquisition projects from valuation of potential targets to transaction closing
• Coordination of due diligence processes in the areas of Finance, Commercial, Legal, Tax, and Operations
• Management of external consultants and coordination of internal stakeholders and departments
• Coordination of the creation and review of relevant legal transaction documents
• Creation and review of company valuations, financial models, business cases, and investment proposals
• Preparation of investment recommendations, decision documents, and presentations for the Executive Committee and Board
• Coordination of integration planning together with the respective business units and transformation teams
• Sparring partner for management and departments on all M&A-related issues
• Focus on buy-side transactions in the Energy Downstream sector, particularly customer portfolios, as well as Midstream infrastructure with typical transaction volumes between 1 and 100 million Euros

Requirements

My advantages:

• Sound experience in the M&A environment, for example in Corporate M&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or M&A Advisory
• Demonstrable experience in independently leading and successfully executing company transactions or acquisitions
• Very good knowledge of financial modeling, company valuation, and the operational implementation of M&A transactions
• Sound experience in managing complex due diligence processes and various workstreams
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in direct collaboration with Senior Management, Executives, and Boards
• Fluent English skills
• Ability to manage projects independently and in a structured manner in a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment
• Industry knowledge in the energy, infrastructure, industrial, or logistics sectors is desirable
