Project overview

For our client in the mechanical engineering, special machine construction, and industrial automation sectors, we are seeking an experienced engineering or design firm with at least five employees for long-term support in mechanical design and development, starting January 2027. We are looking for an established engineering firm that has already successfully implemented demonstrable projects in mechanical engineering, possesses in-depth practical knowledge of PTC Creo Elements, and can independently undertake design and calculation tasks.

The focus is on the design and further development of machines and mechanical assemblies, as well as carrying out drive and load calculations.

Responsibilities

Mechanical design and development of machines, assemblies, and individual components

Creation and processing of 3D CAD models and manufacturing-ready technical drawings with PTC Creo Elements

New and further development as well as optimization of existing machine designs

Execution of drive and load calculations as well as design of mechanical drive systems

Determination of forces, torques, and loads, as well as dimensioning of mechanical components

Technical design and verification of machine components regarding functionality, load-bearing capacity, and economic efficiency

Design and optimization of complex mechanical assemblies

Creation and maintenance of parts lists, technical drawings, and design documentation

Management and maintenance of CAD and design data in the PLM system

Independent processing and coordination of design and development packages

Regular technical coordination with internal contact persons

Requirements

Established engineering or design firm with at least 5 employees

Demonstrable project experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in special machine construction or industrial automation

Very good practical knowledge of PTC Creo Elements (Must-have)

Demonstrable reference projects where PTC Creo Elements was used in mechanical machine design

Several years of experience in the mechanical design and development of machines and complex assemblies

In-depth knowledge in the design and calculation of mechanical drive systems

Practical experience in carrying out drive and load calculations

Confident handling of technical calculations for dimensioning machine components

Experience in the independent implementation of design and development packages

Sufficient personnel capacity for long-term and flexible cooperation on call

Structured, reliable, and self-responsible project execution

Nice to have

Experience in special machine construction, plant engineering, or industrial automation

Knowledge of handling the PLM system PTC Windchill

Experience in managing CAD data, parts lists, and revision levels

Experience in the further development and optimization of existing machine designs

Experience in the technical design of drives, gearboxes, shafts, bearings, and other mechanical components

Experience in cooperation with larger mechanical engineering companies
