For an exciting client project in Düsseldorf, we are looking for an experienced freelance Payroll Specialist / Payroll Expert to support in the area of payroll processing.
Framework Conditions
- Location: Düsseldorf
- Start: short notice / by arrangement
- Duration: 6 months with prospect of extension
- Utilization: 4-5 days per week
- Work Model: Hybrid / Remote by arrangement

Responsibilities
- Independent execution of monthly payroll and salary accounting
- Maintenance and verification of payroll-relevant master and transactional data
- Processing of joiners and leavers as well as contract and salary changes
- Contact person for employees regarding questions about salary and payroll
- Communication with health insurance companies, authorities, and social security institutions
- Creation of certificates and reports
- Support with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Verification and optimization of existing payroll processes
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in payroll / payroll accounting
- Very good knowledge of German wage tax and social security law
- Experience with common payroll systems, e.g. SAP HCM or ADP
- Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel
- Structured and independent way of working
- High affinity for numbers and accuracy
- Very good German language skills
