Freelance SAP P2P Functional Process Consultant - AP & E-Invoicing (f/m/d)

Dear Network,

For a leading global company in the entertainment industry based in Berlin, we are currently looking for an experienced freelance SAP P2P Functional Process Consultant (f/m/d).

In the context of ongoing process harmonization and digitalization, the core focus of this project is the implementation of the existing blueprint for Accounts Payable (AP) as well as the integration of standardized e-invoicing processes. If you bring strong interface expertise in SAP FI/MM and enjoy acting independently at the intersection between business and IT, this is an exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of the blueprint for accounts payable and payment processes (SAP FI in combination with SAP MM)
• Functional design, testing, and validation of invoice management and e-invoicing processes
• Analysis and optimization of existing processes, ensuring alignment with SAP standard functionalities and business requirements
• Functional design, integration, and testing of interfaces connecting SAP with upstream systems
• Process documentation and preparation of user manuals
• Identification and resolution of functional issues, coordination with relevant stakeholders, and support of change management activities

Requirements

• Excellent functional knowledge of SAP FI (AP activities, PO, and FI invoice management) and SAP MM (payment-related process integration)
• Strong end-to-end understanding of standard SAP business processes and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes
• Proven hands-on experience in functional process design, blueprint implementation, and optimization of invoice and payment management processes
• Practical experience with e-invoicing processes and related business requirements
• Good understanding of SAP system interfaces, process integration, and automation opportunities
• Ability to independently analyze business requirements, identify process gaps, develop functional solutions, and support testing/implementation
• Strong ownership mentality, structured way of working, and clear communication skills across business and IT teams
• Fluent in written and spoken English
