Freelance Senior Solution Architect

Project overview

The assignment focuses on hardening IT systems within the Hardening project of the IB Program.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Drafting classifications, processes, and standards for hardening IT systems based on CIS Benchmarks
• Designing the functional and technical design for hardening tooling
• Guiding internal engineers and administrators in applying CIS Benchmarks as hardening policy
• Setting up a framework for deployment, monitoring, reporting, and enforcement of hardening
• Identifying risks and proposing mitigating measures
• Collaborating with the project manager, security architect, and engineers within the project
• Transferring the realized framework to internal engineers through documentation and workshops
• At least 5 years of work experience in the role of senior solution architect
• Demonstrable experience with hardening based on CIS Benchmarks
• Experience in setting up PDCA processes
• Knowledge of hardening Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows systems
• Knowledge of tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Windows Defender for Cloud, and WSUS/SCCM
• Familiarity with version control tools, such as GIT
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and 27002 is a plus
• Working and thinking level at HBO/WO level
• Experience within a SAFe/Agile working environment
• At least two references from different clients and IT security projects
