Project overview

My client in the energy infrastructure sector is currently looking for an experienced Site Manager (m/f/d) for underground high-voltage cable construction in the 110 kV range for a wind farm project in Brandenburg.

The focus is on coordinating and supervising cable pulling work in open trenches, as well as liaising with civil engineering and the project manager. Practical experience with open cable trenches is particularly important, as the professional execution and coordination of cable pulling is a significant part of the project.

We are looking for a hands-on Site Manager who has independently managed comparable projects, can make technical decisions on-site, and can identify and report potential deviations and additional work to the project manager early on.

Position: Site Manager Cable Construction 110 kV (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Coordination and supervision of cable pulling work in underground high-voltage cable construction in the 110 kV range
• Management and coordination of work in open cable trenches
• Coordination of the deployed team of approx. 9 to 15 people, depending on the respective route section
• Supervision of professional cable pulling from the cable drum to laying in the trench
• Coordination with the executing civil engineering company regarding construction progress, route sections, and workflows
• Monitoring the proper execution of cable construction work on-site
• Identification and documentation of deviations, hindrances, and additional work in civil engineering
• Early reporting of additional work and deviations to the responsible project manager
• Ongoing coordination with the project manager on construction progress, technical challenges, and necessary measures
• Ensuring a structured and smooth workflow of cable pulling work on the construction site

• At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in site management or construction supervision in underground cable construction
• Sound practical experience in high-voltage cable construction, ideally in the 110 kV range
• Very good knowledge in the area of open cable trenches and the laying of underground high-voltage cables
• Experience in coordinating and supervising cable pulling work
• Technical understanding of cable pulling, cable drums, and professional cable laying
• Experience in collaborating with civil engineering companies and coordinating various workflows on the construction site
• Ability to independently identify and assess technical challenges and deviations on-site
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Hands-on mentality and the ability to maintain an overview even in challenging construction site situations
• Good German language skills for coordination with project management and executing trades
• Willingness for full-time employment on-site in Brandenburg
