Freelance Special Techniques Engineer for Tertiary Buildings

Project overview

As support for the Equipment and Technology project manager, you will oversee the renovation of a historic office building, from tender to commissioning.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Review and validate plans and functional diagrams of technical installations
• Develop and substantiate technical choices with an eye for sustainability and maintainability
• Request, analyze, and compare quotes and check estimates and technical solutions
• Monitor execution on site, check technical sheets, and prepare site reports
• Guide provisional acceptances together with installers and follow up on outstanding points
• Handle technical questions from internal stakeholders such as security services and IT
• Participate in specifications for maintenance and delivery of installations and monitor market developments
• Master's degree with a technical or construction direction, for example civil or industrial engineer or architect, or at least 15 years of relevant experience in special techniques
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, of which 5 years gained in large technical projects within tertiary buildings
• Experience with site supervision in a multi-technical environment
• Thorough knowledge of technical disciplines such as electricity, HVAC, plumbing, elevators, low voltage, high voltage, fire detection, and sprinkler systems
• Experience with geothermal energy and heat pumps, in-row cooling or CRAC, BMS or GTC, security management, access control, Smart Building, data networks and data centers, or audio-video is a plus
• Excellent command of Dutch or French, at least B2 level in the other national language, and good technical knowledge of English
