Freelancer TISAX / ISMS Consultant – Audit Preparation & Operational Support

Project overview

For our client in the medium-sized business environment, we are looking for an experienced TISAX-/ISMS expert to support the operational management and further development of an already existing information security management system.

The company already has established TISAX processes and has successfully undergone several internal and external audits.

We are explicitly looking for a pragmatic consultant who takes over existing structures, keeps documentation up-to-date, and ensures long-term audit capability, not an expert for a complete new build.

Responsibilities

• Operational support and maintenance of the existing TISAX-/ISMS system
• Review, update, and further development of existing security policies and documentation
• Maintenance and updating of the VDA-ISA catalog of requirements
• Tracking of open measures, findings, and audit deviations
• Coordination and alignment with internal specialist departments
• Preparation and, if necessary, accompaniment of internal and external TISAX audits
• Conducting an initial inventory / compact gap analysis
• Identification of pragmatic optimization possibilities for existing processes
• Improvement of the document and evidence structure within Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive, and Monday.com

Requirements

Framework Conditions

Important: Our client is looking for an expert who is not only a consultant but also takes on operational implementation. The focus is on pragmatic solutions, maintaining existing structures, and reliable preparation for upcoming audits.

• Sound practical experience with TISAX and the VDA-ISA catalog
• Experience in setting up, maintaining, and further developing ISMS structures
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and relevant information security standards
• Experience in preparing and accompanying TISAX audits
• Confident handling of security policies, audit evidence, and measures management
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Hands-on mentality and experience with medium-sized corporate structures
• Very good German language skills
• Existing, already audited TISAX-/ISMS system
• Flexible workload according to actual support needs
• Predominantly feasible remotely
• Billing on an hourly basis (Time & Material)
• Long-term cooperation desired in case of successful collaboration
