Frontend Developer

Project overview

For our client we are looking for a Frontend Developer.

You will develop customer-facing features for our portal and take end-to-end ownership of front-end solutions - from requirements and UX collaboration through implementation, testing, release, production monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Own front-end features from requirements clarification and UX design through production.
• Build reusable, secure, maintainable, and well-tested UI components.
• Integrate front-end applications with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Contribute to front-end architecture, state management, and technical design decisions.
• Develop and maintain unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Improve application performance, accessibility, browser compatibility, observability, and reliability.
• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve front-end applications in production.
• Collaborate closely with product, UX, backend, and engineering colleagues to deliver customer value.
• Provide constructive code reviews, share knowledge, and support less-experienced engineers.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly and validate outputs for quality, security, accessibility, and maintainability.

Our client reserves the right to request evidence of completion of these checks according to their expectations for the duration of the contingent worker assignment.

If any deviations or discrepancies occur, the supplier should inform Ework and the candidate should not be moving forward in the procurement process.

• Demonstrated experience independently delivering front-end features in production.
• Strong competence in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with modern front-end architecture, reusable component design, and state management.
• Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs and handling asynchronous application flows.
• Practical experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, package management, and front-end build tooling.
• Experience with automated testing using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
• Understanding of web accessibility, responsive design, browser compatibility, performance, and front-end security.
• Ability to interpret Figma designs and collaborate effectively with UX designers.
• Experience working in an Agile product team using Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong ownership, analytical problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Knowledge of Node.js, server-side rendering, or micro-frontend architecture.
• Experience with WebSockets, event-driven user interfaces, or real-time applications.
• Experience with AWS, observability tools, or cloud-hosted web applications.
• Knowledge of clean architecture, reusable design principles, and front-end performance optimization.
• Experience using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, Kiro, MCP servers, or AI agents.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Interaction Design, or equivalent practical experience.
