Functional / Solution Architect – E-commerce – Microservices & Event-Driven – SAFe

Project overview

As part of a long-term assignment, we are looking for an E-commerce Functional Solution Architect for our client.

You will join the group's Cybersecurity & Architecture Department, which has around thirty architects. Your role will be to support the product and Tech teams responsible for the brand's national e-commerce site. You will define the architecture for their functional initiatives.

You will play a key role in aligning business needs with solutions. You will ensure the consistency of the architecture across all layers: business, data, applications, exchanges, and technical infrastructure.

This mission is particularly suitable for an architect who wants to have a direct impact on a high-traffic e-commerce platform. You will manage several initiatives in parallel, within a scaled agile organization.

Profile sought

You have at least 4 years of experience as a functional architect, in one or more contexts. You know how to scope an initiative, produce an architecture document, and defend your choices in governance instances.

Your strong general IT knowledge allows you to interact effectively with technical teams and gain perspective on solutions.

• Align architecture with business needs
• Define and communicate architectural directions
• Ensure overall architectural consistency and compliance with non-functional requirements
• Promote the intrinsic quality of solutions
• Frame the architecture of initiatives with operational teams
• Write architecture documents, covering the functional and technical scope of each initiative
• Prepare decision documents and present them to the Design Authority
• Keep the architecture description up-to-date and remain available to support the teams
• Contribute to defining the architectural framework to strengthen team autonomy
• At least 4 years of experience in functional architecture
• Good IT knowledge: software architecture, microservices, event-driven architecture, inter-application exchanges, market solution integration, AI
• Architect experience in e-commerce or, more broadly, in Retail
• Architecture experience in a scaled agile context (SAFe train)
• Practice of ArchiMate modeling
