Job description
RVO is seeking a Geodata Administrator with experience in ArcGIS Online to manage the migration of their ArcGIS Online platform from the US to the EU cloud. The role involves setting up the EU environment, transferring content, conducting tests, and supporting users.
Project overview
We are at RVO looking for a geodata administrator. The geodata management team is responsible for managing the geoplatform, ensuring the availability of up-to-date geodata and geoviewers.
Currently, we are migrating our ArcGIS Online platform from the US to the EU cloud. We are looking for a colleague who has experience working with and migrating ArcGIS Online and can help us successfully execute our migration.
You will work independently within a team to achieve:
Background of the assignment
Everything we do has a geo-component. Every regulation we register is tied to its location on the map. As a geodata administrator, you will have the opportunity to play an important role in the development of geodata products!
You will provide first-line support for disruptions or questions about geo-information products and will be the point of contact for colleagues with technical or substantive questions. You will also actively think about how we can improve processes and systems. You will propose improvements and thus help create a future-proof way of working within the geo domain.
What you will work on
You are responsible for managing various information products. This includes datasets, viewers, and the software used for development, such as Esri's ArcGIS, FME Desktop, and FME Server. You will ensure that everything works correctly and stays up-to-date.
In your work, you will regularly communicate with the product owner, suppliers, and clients. You will ensure that everyone is well-informed and collaborates towards the same goal. You will be part of an agile team and work closely with administrators, engineers, and other specialists.
- Setting up the ArcGIS Online environment in the EU.
- Transferring users, groups, and content to the new environment (both automated and manual).
- Executing and guiding technical tests and User Acceptance Tests.
- Providing support to users.
- Performing post-processing on migrated content.
- Contributing to innovation and improvement.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience with the implementation of GEO Data Platforms
Minimum 3 years in the role of Consultant Advisor
Minimum completed HBO (Bachelor's degree) education
