Job description

Experienced GIS Specialist needed for infrastructure and network expansion projects, responsible for managing, structuring, maintaining, and validating geospatial data.

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced GIS Specialist to support infrastructure and network expansion projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the management, structuring, maintenance, and validation of geospatial data.

Your tasks include the creation and updating of maps, GIS analyses, reports, and spatial data visualizations. You will perform data quality checks to ensure completeness, consistency, and compliance with project standards. Furthermore, you will configure and maintain GIS applications, project environments, data models, and workflows.

You will support geospatial data exchange processes and work closely with internal and external stakeholders. An important aspect of your work is contributing to process optimization, workflow automation, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

For this position, you bring proven experience in GIS data management, ideally in the areas of infrastructure, utilities, telecommunications, or network expansion. A degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Environmental Sciences, or a comparable field of study is required.

You have sound practical knowledge of ArcGIS, VertiGIS, and FME, as well as experience in geospatial data acquisition, integration, transformation, and quality assurance. A solid understanding of GIS data models, standards, and spatial analysis methods is assumed. You work in a structured, detail-oriented, and self-responsible manner. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. Experience with GIS automation, documentation, and user training is an advantage.

The position is remote-oriented and offers flexible working arrangements.
