For upcoming modernization projects in the medium-sized business sector, we are looking for experienced Google Cloud Architects (m/f/d) for our expert pool.

A typical project looks like this:

Starting situation

A grown business application (backend services, web portal in Angular, mobile app in Flutter) runs partly on-premise, partly with a hoster. The goal is a secure, scalable, and cost-transparent target architecture on Google Cloud and a step-by-step migration without operational interruption.

Job facts: Direct client project

• Record current architecture and non-functional requirements (availability, security, data protection, costs)
• Design target architecture on GCP, including landing zone, resource hierarchy, network, and IAM
• Select runtime platform (e.g., Cloud Run or GKE) and data storage (e.g., Cloud SQL, Firestore)
• Create migration and release planning together with the development teams
• Conceptualize and set up CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, as well as monitoring and logging
• Transparently communicate architectural alternatives and represent them in decision-making bodies
• Document architectural decisions and ensure implementation
• At least 5 years of experience as a Cloud or Solution Architect, with at least 3 years with Google Cloud in production projects
• Practical experience with IAM, VPC design, Cloud Run or GKE, and Cloud SQL
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Fluent German, good English
• Certification Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Migrations from on-premise environments
• GDPR-compliant architectures and cost control (FinOps)
• Collaboration with distributed development teams
• Assignment: predominantly remote, occasional appointments on-site in DACH
• Duration: typically 4 to 6 months, extension possible
• Utilization: 80 to 100 percent
