Job description
Seeking a Hyper-V Specialist to ensure and develop the operation of Hyper-V and Windows Server environments, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and migrations.
Responsibilities
Framework Conditions
- Ensuring and further developing the ongoing operation of Hyper-V and Windows Server environments
- Monitoring virtualized systems and performing error, performance, and root cause analyses
- Setting up and commissioning smaller Hyper-V and Windows Server environments at decentralized locations
- Planning and implementing smaller server moves, including migration, rebuilding, configuration, and commissioning
- Selecting, setting up, and integrating suitable server and storage hardware
- Installing and configuring Hyper-V hosts, virtual machines, and Windows Server systems
- Setting up, configuring, and supporting Terminal Server solutions based on Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
- Performing maintenance, updates, backups, and restore and recovery tests
- Supporting the standardization and further development of decentralized Microsoft infrastructures
- Integrating new or migrated environments into existing central IT structures
- Performing technical function tests and handing over environments to ongoing operations
- Coordinating with central IT teams, local contacts, and external service providers
- Creating and maintaining technical operational, migration, and relocation documentation
