Job description
Seeking an experienced ICT Test Manager and Test Automation Engineer to support quality assurance and development of modern applications for technical infrastructure management. The role involves working with agile teams to ensure high software quality through structured testing and automated processes.
Responsibilities
For our client, we are looking for an experienced personality in the field of ICT test management and test automation.
In a demanding IT environment, you will support the quality assurance and further development of modern applications for monitoring and managing technical infrastructures. You will work with interdisciplinary, agile teams and ensure high software quality through structured test procedures and automated test processes.
- Independent creation of test specifications, test concepts, and test execution plans
- Planning, execution, and documentation of system, integration, end-to-end, and functional acceptance tests
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of automated tests for REST APIs and web applications
- Execution of manual and automated software tests at various test levels
- Setup, expansion, and maintenance of regression tests
- Integration of automated tests into existing or new CI/CD pipelines
- Analysis of business and technical requirements and continuous optimization of test processes
- Planning and management of test activities with Jira and Xray
- Support and enablement of business departments in conducting efficient tests
- Close collaboration with Product Owners, developers, architects, and business departments
- Ensuring knowledge transfer and promoting uniform quality standards within the teams
Requirements
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in test automation
- Minimum 3 years of experience with agile test management tools
- Solid experience in test automation of REST interfaces, for example with Bruno (CLI)
- Practical experience with UI test automation using Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium
- Experience with system tests, end-to-end tests (E2E), and functional acceptance tests
- Knowledge of the entire test process from analysis and conception through implementation to execution and reporting
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
- Experience working with interdisciplinary, agile product teams
- ISTQB CT-TAE (Certified Tester – Test Automation Engineer) (Advantageous)
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, OpenShift, Git/Bitbucket, and Docker (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of static code analysis with SonarQube (Advantageous)
- Experience with agile methods such as Scrum and SAFe (Advantageous)
- Good knowledge of Atlassian Jira, Xray, and Confluence (Advantageous)
- Experience in testing Kafka interfaces (Advantageous)
- Practical experience with AI Coding Assistants considering cost efficiency, compliance, traceability, and sustainable knowledge transfer (Advantageous)
