Independent B2B Acquisition Expert for Mechanical and Plant Engineering (DACH)

Project overview

Project Goal:

A boutique consultancy for industrial companies is looking for an independent acquisition expert who can open doors to purchasing managers and managing directors in mechanical and plant engineering and generate qualified appointments for the company's consultants.

Responsibilities

• Research and selection of suitable target companies in mechanical and plant engineering (DACH), together with the team
• Cold calling purchasing managers, strategic buyers, and managing directors
• Building relationships from cold contacts: following up, staying persistent, and developing genuine conversation threads
• Conducting individual, needs-oriented initial conversations (no scripted calls)
• Arranging and organizing qualified appointments for the consultants
• Documenting conversations and results (CRM or list) and providing brief reports

Requirements

• Proven experience in B2B cold acquisition, ideally with industrial clients
• Confident demeanor with decision-makers, including at management level
• Understanding of technical or complex services; experience in mechanical engineering, purchasing, or consulting is a big plus
• Structured, independent, and reliable way of working
• Very good German; English or Polish advantageous

Expected Outcome:

Generation of qualified meeting appointments with purchasing managers and managing directors in mechanical and plant engineering for the company's consultants, as well as established contact relationships with relevant decision-makers.
