The position

The municipality of Oisterwijk is looking for an independently working planning economist for a temporary advisory assignment in the field of land development and spatial planning. The contractor will be asked to independently perform financial and planning economic analyses and deliver advisory products. The assignment focuses on, among other things:

The contractor can determine how the assignment is carried out and is responsible for the quality and timely delivery of the agreed results. Coordination with the municipality will take place regarding substantive frameworks, necessary information, and deadlines.

This is a temporary assignment and not a regular position within the municipal organization. There is no management or supervision of the daily execution of tasks. We are looking for:

• preparing and updating land development accounts;
• performing financial feasibility, scenario, and risk analyses;
• advising on land policy, cost recovery, and area development;
• providing financial advice for agreements and negotiations with market parties;
• preparing administrative advisory products and reports;
• analyzing financial risks and project budgets;
• delivering financial advisory products for the P&C cycle concerning land matters and spatial projects.
• A planning economist with: at least 8 years of relevant work experience;
• at least HBO work and thinking level;
• demonstrable experience as a planning economist within municipal organizations;
• knowledge of land development accounts, cost recovery, land policy, and area development;
• experience with financial-economic advisory services and administrative advisory products;
• strong analytical skills and administrative sensitivity.
• Competitive fixed salary, depending on knowledge and experience;
