Information Security Officer / Lead ISO

Project overview

As an Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for the practical implementation and coordination of information security policy within the organization.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Drafting, updating, and implementing policy documents, guidelines, and work instructions for compliance with NEN 7510
• Translating security policies into concrete measures, processes, and protocols for daily practice
• Incorporating security and compliance requirements into existing business processes
• Coordinating with management, the IT department, and operational teams to embed security measures in both policy and procedures
• Developing incident and continuity protocols and preparing risk analyses
• Defining control measures for a sustainable security level
• Coordinating the activities of security officers and liaisons and monitoring the annual plan
• Following up on improvement measures from risk analyses, audits, deviations, and incidents
• Identifying bottlenecks and ensuring timely coordination and reporting on progress and risks
• Minimum WO work and thinking level
• Minimum three years of experience with certification processes and information security within a government organization
• Minimum five years of experience with the implementation of technical and organizational security measures in accordance with ISO 27001, NEN 7510, and BIO
• Experience with compliance with ISO 27001, NEN 7510, and BIO through internal audits, gap analyses, and monitoring (preferred)
• Experience with risk analysis and developing risk management strategies (preferred)
• Experience with coordinating information security activities within an organization (preferred)
• Relevant certification such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor (preferred)
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations regarding data protection and information security
• Strong communication skills to convey complex information understandably
• Independent and proactive work attitude, also in a team context
