Mission Description:

Context

A dedicated workstation platform manages the definition, implementation, and operational maintenance of a park of approximately 27,000 Windows workstations.

The service primarily focuses on the qualification and deployment of Windows 11 version 26H2 across the park.

Mission

Prepare and carry out the deployment of Windows 11 26H2 on a large-scale workstation park, from impact analysis to progressive deployment and resolution of associated incidents.

Essential Skills / Qualities:

Windows 11, Active Directory, GPO, Large-scale deployment on extensive parks, Windows park administration and management

• Analyze the functional and technical novelties of Windows 11 26H2.
• Evaluate user impacts and determine if support or promotion of changes is necessary.
• Study technical impacts before deployment, particularly dependencies, prerequisites, and deprecations.
• Study new GPO parameters and their impacts.
• Study the new Microsoft Security Baseline and measure deviations and impacts compared to the production baseline.
• Create new 26H2 GPOs and apply them progressively to the park.
• Perform tests and qualification on a pilot scope.
• Integrate 26H2 into the workstation master image and progressively deploy the Windows 26H2 update.
• Analyze and resolve deployment-related incidents.
• Depending on workload, contribute to the administration of the Windows PC park: remote deployments, remediations, patching, and component integration.
• Systems: Windows 11, Debian, Raspbian, macOS, Linux Ubuntu, Red Hat
• Administration and Deployment: Active Directory, GPO, Ivanti EPM, Ivanti UWM, Microsoft MDT, HPDM, Ansible
• Monitoring and Collaboration Tools: Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Google Workspace
• Security: Microsoft Security Baseline
• Documentation of the entire study phase in a Confluence base.
• Traceability of actions performed in the Jira backlog and in ServiceNow.
• Essential experience in large-scale deployments on extensive parks.
• Seniority level indicated in the document: junior (0 to 3 years), confirmed (4 to 6 years), senior (7 to 9 years), or expert (more than 10 years); the chosen level is not specified.
• Mastery of Windows 11, Active Directory, and GPO.
• Experience in large-scale deployment on a large IT park.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, autonomy, and proactivity.
• Customer service orientation and ability to integrate into a mixed team, composed of internal and external collaborators.
