Seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Platform Operations Engineer for a security-critical IT environment to ensure the availability, performance, security, and recoverability of complex IT systems. The role involves operating, administering, and optimizing infrastructure and platform services.
Project overview
For a security-critical IT environment, we are looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Platform Operations Engineer to support the operational management of infrastructure and platform services. The focus of the activity is to ensure the availability, performance, security, and recoverability of complex IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Operation, administration, and optimization of infrastructure and platform environments
- Execution of incident, problem, and change management activities
- Monitoring of system availability, performance, and capacities
- Analysis and resolution of disruptions in ongoing operations
- Execution and documentation of backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes
- Creation of operational, compliance, and performance reports
- Maintenance of technical documentation, operating manuals, and runbooks
- Support for security and risk analyses
- Ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs
Requirements
- Several years of experience in infrastructure and platform operations
- Expertise in at least two of the following areas:
- Linux / Unix Administration
- VMware Virtualization
- NetApp Storage
- Database Operations (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL)
- Backup & Recovery with Veeam
- Application Operations & Service Monitoring
- Experience in incident, problem, and change management
- Experience with monitoring, reporting, and operational processes
- Very good documentation skills
- Fluent German language skills
