Interim Civil Preparer – High-Voltage Substation

Project overview

Contribute to the realization and renovation of transformer bays at an existing 380 kV high-voltage substation.

The position

As a Civil Preparer, you will be involved in the realization of bays 19, 23, and 26 at the 380 kV high-voltage substation in Geertruidenberg. Existing transformer bays will be modified and renovated, and new facilities will be realized. This includes the realization of a new 380 kV transformer bay with a transformer unit, and the relocation and renovation of bays.

Within the project, you will focus on the practical preparation of civil, construction, mechanical, and civil engineering works. You will ensure that the execution team has the correct work plans, drawings, materials, and information.

The ultimate goal is that the realization of the relevant bays is demonstrably recorded in the delivery file and the work is delivered within the agreed requirements regarding safety, quality, time, and budget.

About the company

You will be working within a collaboration that carries out civil and technical work on high-voltage substations. For this project, you will work at the existing 380 kV high-voltage substation in Geertruidenberg.

What you bring

For this assignment, we are looking for a preparer who can independently handle the practical preparation of the work. The assignment requires at least the following knowledge and skills:

• Experience or knowledge in the field of civil, construction, mechanical, and/or civil engineering works;
• Ability to prepare work plans and coordinate them with various stakeholders;
• Ability to prepare orders based on work plans, drawings, and contractual requirements;
• Ability to work with project information and contractual requirements in Relatics;
• Ability to coordinate with Engineering, Execution, suppliers, and other technical disciplines;
• Ability to inspect civil works and conduct factory visits;
• Experience with or knowledge of working with drawings and 3D models for preparation and coordination;
• Ability to independently record progress and report on it periodically;
• Ability to systematically record project results in a delivery file.
• Assignment until the construction holiday of 2027;
• Location of the assignment: Geertruidenberg high-voltage substation;
• You will work independently within the assignment and report to project management every four weeks;
• You will use your own computer, PPE, clothing, and transportation;
• You will gain access to the secure digital project environment.
