Set up and lead a new business control and data department, including redesigning the planning & control cycle and establishing cost and pricing models.
Project overview
The assignment involves setting up and leading a new department for business control and data.
Profile of the suited interim professional:
- Redesign the planning & control cycle with a driver-based forecast and scenarios
- Set up a cost and pricing model with margin insight per business unit, customer, and service
- Calculate the financial impact of the changing revenue model
- Establish one joint KPI set with the business units and recalibrate reporting to management and shareholders
- Design the departmental structure and recruit controllers and data specialists
- Completed WO Master's degree in finance, business economics, or accountancy
- Management experience within a business control or FP&A department, which you have built yourself or fundamentally reformed
- Proven experience with cost, pricing, or margin models that have contributed to commercial decision-making
- Able to hold people at all levels accountable for agreements
- Comfortable in the boardroom as well as on the shop floor
- RC or MBA (preferred)
- Experience in an investor-driven environment (preferred)
- Experience with subscription or other recurring revenue models (preferred)
- Experience in business services (preferred)
