Requirements

• Several years of leadership experience with demonstrable personnel and organizational responsibility
• Experience in managing or reorganizing technical departments, teams, or project organizations
• Sound practical experience in the construction industry, ideally in building construction, turnkey construction, finishing, or renovation
• Proven success in process optimization, standardization, and organizational development
• Experience in the operational management of construction, quality, or renovation projects
• Ability to engage employees, implement changes, and take responsibility
• Hands-on mentality – you don't just develop concepts, you implement them yourself

• Experience in quality and warranty management of construction projects
• Knowledge of VOB/B (German Construction Contract Procedures) and systematic defect management
• Experience with n.core, PlanRadar, Capmo, BauMaster, or comparable systems
• Expert qualification for building damage assessment

Initial Situation

Our client is an established company in the construction and real estate industry.

The Quality Management, Quality Assurance, and Warranty Management areas are to be further developed organizationally, procedurally, and operationally.

The authorized signatory is heavily involved in day-to-day operations and handling urgent issues. At the same time, existing structures need to be improved, responsibilities clarified, employees further developed, and uniform quality standards sustainably established.

Therefore, we are not looking for a purely technical consultant, but for an experienced leader from the construction sector who can shape change and intervene operationally if necessary.

• Analysis of the existing departmental structure, roles, and responsibilities
• Further development of the organization and professional/disciplinary collaboration
• Leadership, empowerment, and development of employees
• Improvement of collaboration between QM/QS, construction management, project management, and other specialist areas
• Establishment of clear decision-making paths and binding working methods
• Review, optimization, and standardization of existing QM/QS and warranty processes
• Identification and elimination of duplicate work and inefficient interfaces
• Unification of inspection procedures, quality standards, and defect management
• Analysis of recurring quality defects and implementation of preventive measures
• Further development of digital inspection plans, checklists, and defect management processes
• Ensuring sustainable implementation in daily operations
• Independent handling of urgent operational issues and escalations
• Management of quality, defect, and warranty matters
• Coordination of internal and external stakeholders as well as executing companies
• Monitoring of quality, deadlines, costs, and agreed-upon measures
