Interim Head of SAP

Responsibilities

Taking over the functional and disciplinary or operational management of the SAP area on an interim basis

Leading and coordinating an SAP team of approx. 15 internal employees and additional external specialists

Ensuring stable operation and continuous development of the existing SAP system landscape

Strategic further development of the SAP roadmap with a focus on cloud technologies and modern SAP architectures

Managing external service providers, implementation partners, and SAP freelancers

Interface management between IT, business departments, management, and external partners

Prioritization and management of ongoing SAP projects as well as optimization of existing processes and structures

Advising management on strategic and technological decisions regarding SAP

Profile

Several years of experience in a senior SAP position, ideally as Head of SAP, SAP IT Manager, or SAP Department Manager

Demonstrable experience in leading larger SAP teams, including managing external resources

Sound understanding of modern SAP system landscapes and hybrid cloud architectures

Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Private Cloud / RISE with SAP, and cloud transformation projects

Good knowledge of several SAP cloud solutions, ideally SuccessFactors, Ariba, SAC, Datasphere, and/or Concur

Experience in strategic SAP roadmap planning as well as managing complex transformation initiatives

Strong leadership qualities, decisiveness, and hands-on mentality

Ability to provide strategic advice at management level as well as pragmatically solve operational challenges

Very good German and English skills
