Project overview

Our client is a construction company. We are looking for an experienced interim manager to stabilize, further develop, and strategically support the business unit in power grid expansion. We are seeking an experienced leader with comprehensive practical experience in line and power grid expansion, who develops employees, optimizes processes, expands client relationships, and drives further market development together with management.

Responsibilities

• Stabilization and further development of the existing organization
• Technical and organizational support for construction and project managers
• Coaching and further development of junior managers
• Optimization of processes, workflows, and structures
• Expansion of existing client relationships, especially in the context of Bayernwerk
• Knowledge building in the area of 110 kV power grid expansion
• Support with prequalifications for larger infrastructure projects
• Participation in the further development of the substation construction business field
• Strategic sparring partner for management

Requirements

We are explicitly looking for an experienced leadership and entrepreneurial personality from the power grid and energy infrastructure sector who has already further developed organizations, teams, and client relationships. In addition to technical expertise, we expect proven experience in personnel management, organizational development, and in building and further developing business relationships with energy suppliers.

You have many years of leadership responsibility at the level of regional management, branch management, divisional management, or comparable functions within companies involved in power grid and energy infrastructure expansion. Your business contacts in the Munich / Oberbayern region will help you make the mandate even more successful. Experience in the context of Bayernwerk, N-ERGIE, or comparable grid operators is of particular interest.

The focus of the position is on power grid expansion up to 110 kV, with a focus on underground cabling, cable trench construction, pipeline laying, and infrastructure projects for energy suppliers. Experience in the high and medium voltage range is a prerequisite. Planning and route selection are carried out by internal specialist departments, so the focus of this role is on optimization, implementation, leadership, and further development of processes and structures.

You see yourself as a sparring partner for management and are accustomed to navigating larger corporate structures confidently at the management level.

• Engineer or comparable technical qualification with extensive practical and leadership experience
• Many years of experience in line and power grid expansion and/or pipeline construction and pipeline laying
• Experience in managing projects in the high and medium voltage range
• Knowledge and practical experience in the field of substation construction are advantageous and support the further development of this business field.
• Leadership experience with employees and project teams

• Close cooperation with management
