Interim Manager Warehouse / Logistics

Project overview

For a medium-sized industrial company in North Rhine-Westphalia, we are urgently looking for an experienced Interim Manager (m/f/d) for warehouse logistics to stabilize and realign warehouse operations.

Following a system change and personnel adjustments, warehouse processes need to run reliably again. At the same time, the company is growing and relocating its warehousing and production areas to a new site. The relocation has already begun, and preliminary planning is available. The goal of the project is a well-coordinated warehouse operation with clear processes at the new site, which the team will continue independently after the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Stabilization of warehouse operations – from goods receipt to provision and dispatch
• Analysis of existing processes and elimination of disruptions between warehouse processes and the ERP system
• Implementation of the warehouse relocation based on the existing preliminary planning, as well as reorganization of warehouse space and material flows at the new site
• Technical guidance and further development of the warehouse team
• Coordination with adjacent departments and external logistics partners
• Documentation of processes and handover to the team at the end of the project

Requirements

• Several years of experience in managing warehouses or logistics departments in industry
• Confident SAP skills in warehousing and logistics
• Experience with automated warehouse technology
• Experience as an Interim Manager in change and stabilization situations
• Experience with warehouse relocations or site moves during ongoing operations
• Pragmatic, implementation-oriented approach with high on-site presence
