Seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to lead the implementation of PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) requirements within a large F&B company. The role involves analyzing regulations, coordinating operational execution, and developing technical solutions for packaging compliance.
Project overview
Dear Sir or Madam,
We are currently looking for an experienced, technically oriented packaging specialist for one of our clients who can not only assess regulatory requirements but also translate them into concrete packaging changes, robust evidence, and practical processes. It is also important to navigate a complex corporate structure and involve various stakeholders in the implementation.
Project Goal: Analyze and operationally-technically implement the PPWR requirements for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging within a large corporate structure.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret PPWR requirements
- Coordinate the operational implementation of PPWR guidelines across relevant corporate areas
- Review packaging for adaptation needs and conduct gap analyses
- Develop technical solutions to improve PPWR compliance
- Resolve technical and organizational problems that arise
- Create and maintain technical documentation and conformity proofs
- Monitor European standards, technical guidelines, and regulatory developments
- Support the technical implementation for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging
Requirements

- At least ten years of professional experience in the packaging industry, especially in Food & Beverage
- Sound understanding of EU Regulation 2025/40 (PPWR) and its technical implications
- Knowledge of Regulations (EC) 1935/2004, (EC) 2023/2006, and (EU) 10/2011, as applicable to the respective packaging
- Experience in packaging development, material testing, and industrial packaging processes
- Experience with Design for Recycling, Recyclability Assessments, and packaging optimization
