An interim plant manager is sought at short notice for a client in the plastics injection molding sector. The mandate serves to bridge the vacancy until the position is filled permanently.

The interim manager is responsible for the operational leadership of the site and ensures stable production operations. He analyzes the current situation, prioritizes key areas of action, and implements short-term effective improvements in production, quality, maintenance, and logistics. At the same time, he prepares the structured handover to the future plant management.

Project Goal:

To lead the site stably and efficiently during the vacancy, implement prioritized operational improvements, and provide the future plant management with a clear, documented basis and concrete next steps.

Qualification:

• Overall operational responsibility for the production site
• Management of the production, quality, maintenance, and logistics departments
• Ensuring production stability, quality, delivery capability, and occupational safety
• Analysis of processes, key figures, organization, and operational risks
• Implementation of measures to increase productivity, efficiency, throughput, and output
• Application and further development of Lean, CI, and Operational Excellence approaches
• Leadership and support of the local management team
• Definition and control of relevant site KPIs
• Regular reporting to the Group CEO on site development and results
• Cooperation with headquarters and central functions
• Ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations
• Documentation of measures, results, risks, and open points
• Preparation and execution of the handover to the permanent successor
• Experience as a plant manager, COO, or in a comparable operational management role
• Industry knowledge in plastics injection molding or plastics processing is an advantage
• Experience in managing production, quality, maintenance, and logistics
• Sound practical experience in Lean Manufacturing, CI, and Operational Excellence
• Experience with production key figures as well as budget and results reporting
• Strong implementation skills, decision-making ability, and high presence in the operational environment
• Experience in leading management teams and employees at the production site
• Desirable: Fluent Czech
