Project overview

For an international transformation program, we are looking for an experienced Interim IT PMO Manager for our client to support a global end-to-end business process transformation in the SAP S/4HANA environment.

Profile Requirements

• Start: Immediately, November at the latest
• Duration: Until the end of Q1/2027 with an option to extend
• Workload: Full-time
• Location: Hybrid, initially approx. 3 days per week on-site (Bielefeld area), later at least every second week
• Languages: German and English
• Contract Type: Freelance / Project Business
• Support the Head of PMO or Program Management in operational and strategic program management
• Establishment, further development, and implementation of program standards, governance structures, and PMO processes
• Maintenance and control of the program roadmap, master plan, and milestones
• Coordination and control of multiple projects and workstreams within the overall program
• Program controlling, including progress monitoring, KPI tracking, and status reporting
• Execution of risk, issue, dependency, and conflict management
• Analysis of critical paths and tracking of measures to ensure program goals
• Responsibility for integrated resource management across the various program streams
• Preparation, moderation, and follow-up of Steering Committees, Governance Boards, and Management Meetings
• Ensuring transparent communication with management and stakeholders
• Definition, introduction, and enforcement of uniform PMO methods, templates, and reporting standards
• Support with budget and financial transparency within the program

Requirements

• Several years of experience as PMO Manager, PMO Lead, or Program Manager in complex transformation projects
• Demonstrable experience in SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA programs
• Sound knowledge of PMO governance, program steering, and program controlling
• Experience with roadmaps, master plans, milestone planning, and reporting
• Very good knowledge of risk, dependency, and conflict management
• Experience in resource management within large programs
• Confident interaction with management-level stakeholders
• Fluent German and English skills
• Willingness to travel for regular on-site appointments
