Shopfloor Manager (Interim) – Wiring Harness Production in Morocco

An international automotive supplier with a production site in Morocco is seeking an experienced Shopfloor Manager for operational control and optimization of production in a two-shift system. The role is fully on-site with direct interfaces to shift management, quality assurance, and plant management.

YOUR CHALLENGE

YOUR TALENTS

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 2-3 months; initial assignment for two weeks with option for extension
• Remote/On-Site: On-site in Morocco
• Workload: 100%, two-shift system with 12 hours each
• Monitoring and control of ongoing production in a two-shift system
• Ensuring production targets regarding quality, quantity, and on-time delivery
• Continuous optimization of manufacturing processes along the wiring harness production lines
• Early identification, prioritization, and escalation of disruptions, bottlenecks, and quality deviations
• Close coordination with shift managers, quality assurance, maintenance, and plant management
• Conducting structured shopfloor meetings and transparent communication of relevant KPIs
• Analysis of production figures and derivation as well as follow-up of concrete improvement measures
• Application of Lean methods for efficiency improvement, scrap reduction, and stabilization of processes
• Comprehensive documentation of production deviations, root cause analyses, and initiated measures
• Training, technical guidance, and motivation of on-site production employees

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Shopfloor Manager, Production Manager, or in a comparable operational leadership role in the automotive supplier industry
• Profound knowledge in wiring harness or electronics manufacturing
• Demonstrable experience in managing two-shift operations with long shift times
• Confident application of Lean and Shopfloor Management methods, especially 5S, KPI boards, Andon, and daily performance management
• Fluent French or Arabic language skills
• Unrestricted willingness for intensive on-site deployment in Morocco
• High assertiveness, strong hands-on mentality, and intercultural competence

• Experience with common MES or ERP systems
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 or comparable quality standards
• Language skills: French or Arabic
