Project overview

Context

As part of accelerating the deployment of the Illumio solution within a large international group in the global insurance sector, we are looking for an IT Business Analyst & Project Delivery Manager.

The objective of the mission is to manage the deployments of the Illumio micro-segmentation solution, structure the associated operational processes, and enable internal group teams to become autonomous in the administration and operation of the platform.

The consultant will be involved in functional, technical, and organizational dimensions, ensuring coordination of different stakeholders and monitoring deployment projects.

Mission Objective

Ensure the large-scale deployment of the Illumio solution within the group, while structuring its governance, operational exploitation, and skill transfer to internal teams.

• Business Analysis & Illumio Expertise
• Perform application inventories, analyze dependencies, and map flows within hybrid environments.
• Define a tagging strategy, a common nomenclature, and an associated governance framework.
• Design micro-segmentation policies based on business risks, workload isolation needs, and data protection requirements.
• Define operational requirements for platform administration and operation: support, procedures, incident management, and operational maintenance.
• Identify integration needs with existing security tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, ServiceNow.
• Define performance indicators (KPIs): policy compliance, deployment speed, incident resolution.
• Support the upskilling of internal teams on the Illumio solution.
• Project Management & Project Delivery
• Manage Illumio deployment projects end-to-end, respecting cost, deadline, and scope commitments.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for international initiatives.
• Coordinate technical, security, business teams, and various stakeholders.
• Identify and anticipate risks, manage blockers, and ensure necessary escalations.
• Prepare and lead steering committees.
• Provide project reporting and communicate progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
• Deployment Preparation & Skill Transfer
• Prepare platform onboarding and deployment kits.
• Formalize technical prerequisites, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Document tagging standards and segmentation policy templates.
• Write operational procedures (runbooks), troubleshooting guides, and integration documentation.
• Design training materials for internal teams.
• Organize validation phases and pre-deployment review meetings.
• Ensure knowledge transfer to guarantee team autonomy in the solution's administration and operation.
