Project overview

For our long-standing client, we are looking for an IT Consultant – Principal Technology Leap

Responsibilities

• Structured analysis of the current state of passive network infrastructure and development and documentation of target, solution, and implementation scenarios.
• Recording, structuring, and qualifying technical and business requirements.
• Analysis of complex problems and development of strategic options and recommendations in the area of passive infrastructure.
• Creation and evaluation of strategies, target architectures, and solution concepts, as well as integration of passive infrastructure into the future network platform.
• Consulting on the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures, as well as evaluation of new technology solutions regarding economic efficiency, security, and strategic or architectural suitability.
• Creation and updating of roadmaps and target architectures.
• Identification of technology-related risks and development of suitable measures for risk minimization.
• Analysis of existing infrastructure locations and development of recommendations for their enhancement.
• Creation of templates and working documents, as well as knowledge transfer for independent continuation of tasks by the internal team.

Requirements

We are looking for a Principal IT Consultant with in-depth experience at the interface of IT strategy, network infrastructure, operating models, and organizational transformation processes. The focus is on the strategic further development of passive infrastructure within the scope of the network technology leap.

• Profound experience in the analysis, design, and implementation of IT operating models with a specific reference to IT networks, proven by at least 3 references.
• Profound experience in the design and implementation of IT strategy projects with relevant reference to change processes in technology, processes, and organization, at least 3 references.
• More than 7 years of experience in conducting structured current state analyses to evaluate (passive) network infrastructure and derive functional target scenarios in the context of complex IT landscapes.
• More than 7 years of experience or demonstrable responsibility for developing strategic solution options for the further development of infrastructure or network domains.
• Profound experience in the design and implementation of product portfolio development projects with relevant reference to change processes in technology, processes, and organization, at least 3 references

Nice to have

• More than 7 years of experience in creating and updating roadmaps for infrastructural transformation projects. (Weighting: 30 %)
• More than 7 years of experience in knowledge transfer, especially through the creation of technical templates and working documents. (20 %)
• Experience in developing recommendations for enhancing existing infrastructure locations, at least 1 reference. (20 %)
• Experience from change projects for the introduction of new operating models with a focus on technological product portfolio, proven by 3 reference projects from two different industries. (10 %)
• More than 7 years of experience in creating decision bases for selecting infrastructural solution variants. (10 %)
• More than 7 years of experience in stakeholder management and communication at management/C-level, e.g., CIO, COO, or executive board. (10 %)
