Experienced Principal IT Strategy Consultant with a focus on Network Infrastructure needed for IT strategy and infrastructure planning project. Role involves analyzing existing IT landscape, developing target states, and creating strategic recommendations for passive infrastructure.
Project overview
We are looking for an experienced Principal IT Strategy Consultant with a focus on Network Infrastructure for a project in the area of IT strategy and infrastructure planning.
Your tasks include the structured analysis of the existing IT landscape as well as the development of target, solution, and implementation scenarios with a focus on passive infrastructure. You will collect and structure technical and business requirements, analyze problem areas, and develop well-founded courses of action with strategic recommendations.
Your responsibilities include the creation and evaluation of strategies, target architectures, and solution concepts for passive infrastructure as well as their integration into future network platforms. You will provide technical advice in the development of IT guidelines and evaluate new technology solutions, considering economic efficiency, security, and strategic fit.
Furthermore, you will analyze technical, legal, and organizational constraints, create and update roadmaps and target architectures, and identify technology-related risks with corresponding mitigation measures. An important aspect is enabling the customer team for independent project continuation based on developed templates.
The project runs until the end of 2028, starting in November 2026. The scope of work is 220 project days per year (of which 20 days are on-site). The position is filled remotely from Germany with a location in Frankfurt am Main.
Fluent German (native speaker) and good English (B2) are required. Sound experience in IT operating models, infrastructure analysis, and strategic IT consulting is necessary.
