IT Developer - Lotus Excel Interface Spare Parts Management

Project overview

For an internationally producing automotive supplier, we are looking for an IT Developer for a time-limited project in the area of spare parts management and system integration.

Requirements

• Demonstrable programming experience (e.g., VBA, SQL, or comparable) in the context of data interfaces
• Experience with Lotus Notes/Domino, including data extraction and interface development
• Very good Excel skills, especially VBA/macro programming
• Experience in developing interfaces between legacy systems and office applications
• Basic understanding of spare parts management or logistics processes
• Independent, structured way of working, as well as remote project experience
• Good German and/or English language skills

Nice to have

• Experience in the automotive supply industry
• Knowledge of other database technologies
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) in spare parts or inventory management
• Further foreign language skills are an advantage

• Conception and programming of an interface between the existing Lotus system and Excel
• Automation of regular data analyses on spare parts inventory, demand planning, and order status
• Analysis of existing data structures in Lotus Notes/Domino and derivation of a suitable export concept
• Development and testing of data transfer, including validation of data quality
• Creation of Excel templates or macros/VBA logic for automated preparation and visualization of reports
• Documentation of the developed interface and handover to internal IT contacts
• Close coordination with the Logistics/Spare Parts Management departments for requirements clarification
