Java Architect

Responsibilities

• Further development of a proprietary Java application for contract management and billing, previously developed by an external service provider
• Definition and maintenance of the relevant technology stack and existing frameworks
• Identification of necessary technical software components, tools, and adaptation requirements
• Advising product teams consisting of Solution Architects, Head Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners on requirements management
• Supporting the development team in ensuring the application's operational readiness
• Consideration of special requirements for critical IT infrastructure
• Adherence to high development quality, implementation of defined governance rules, and standardization for stable and long-lasting application design
• Documentation and quality assurance of requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
• Proven project experience as a Java Architect
• Deep knowledge in BASH programming, as well as operating Java applications on Linux Enterprise Servers
• Very good knowledge of Java frameworks and development environments, as well as good knowledge of SOAP, SQL, Tomcat, and SCRUM or KANBAN
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with business processes and experience with Model Driven Development
• Industry experience in the energy supply sector is an advantage
• Communicative team player with a lot of initiative and enjoyment of working in a dynamic environment
• Customer and solution-oriented with a hands-on mentality
• Very good German and English language skills
