We are looking for a consultant for IT Infrastructure & Security Architecture.

An external IT Infrastructure & Security Architect (Senior) is sought for a client in the defense sector. The focus is clearly on infrastructure architecture, supplemented by security-related tasks. Pure profiles from the fields of cybersecurity, operations, development, or project management will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Conception, further development, and documentation of secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise infrastructures.
• Review & Consulting: Evaluation of existing IT landscapes, definition of target architectures, and safeguarding of technical decisions.
• Risk Minimization: Identification of architectural and security risks to ensure system consistency.

• Experience: >10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in senior infrastructure architecture for complex enterprise environments.
• Tech Stack (Excerpt): Deep knowledge in at least three of the following areas: Cloud/Hybrid, Virtualization, Network, Storage, IAM, Backup/DR, as well as Security-by-Design.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills at the interfaces with clients and development teams.
• Plus Points: Experience in a regulated environment (Public Sector, KRITIS, Defense) as well as an existing security clearance (SÜ)
• Start: 01.11.2026 – 30.06.2027 (Option to extend to 1 year+)
• Utilization: Full-time
