Project overview

Mission Description

The group is preparing to host Oracle Fusion Cloud applications within Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud (a dedicated Cloud environment with its own regions, identities, and operational teams within the EU). As an Oracle Sovereign Cloud Architect, you will design the underlying Cloud architecture (tenancy, identities, networks, HSM key management, environment landscape, and AI security boundary) required for the implementation tender specifications. You will work closely with internal Security, Infrastructure, and Data Protection teams to deliver an operational and compliant architecture.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Cloud Architecture Document: tenancy, identity, network, key management, environments, resilience, and monitoring.

Registry of application services available and certified in the OCI EU sovereign regions (gap analysis against scope).

Positioning on sovereignty, data residency, and GDPR transfers (UK/EU) by legal entity, including exit strategy (EU Data Act).

Security architecture aligned with company standards and industry regulations.

Environment and release strategy (provisioning times, data masking).

AI Architecture: model routing, data delimitation for AI agents, and traceability for compliance with the EU AI Act.

Cloud infrastructure cost model and non-functional requirements (NFR) for the tender document.

Candidate Profile

Profile Sought & Essential Criteria (Weighting: 3x)

Experience: 10+ years in Cloud or Enterprise Architecture, with at least 5 years dedicated to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Oracle Applications: Proven Architect role on at least one Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (ERP or HCM) implementation project.

Sovereign Cloud: Design experience on Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud or another Sovereign/Government Cloud environment.

OCI Security & Identity: In-depth expertise in OCI identity domains, Entra ID federation, private network segmentation, customer-controlled HSM key management, and Oracle Break Glass.

Data Protection: Solid understanding of GDPR (UK & EU) rules regarding data residency and cross-border transfers.

Languages: Fluent professional English.

Desirable Criteria

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional certification.

Mastery of NIS2, UK NIS Regulations, and EU Data Act regulations.

Experience with Landing Zones as Code (Terraform on OCI) and OCI AI Agent Studio.
