Job description
Seeking an experienced IT Network Specialist for a project involving the migration and modernization of a network environment to Arista. The role requires extensive on-site work near Frankfurt am Main.
Project overview
For a customer project in the manufacturing industry, we are looking for an experienced IT Network Specialist for the migration and modernization of an existing network environment to Arista.
Project Framework
- Condition: Arista certificate must be available
- Start: By agreement
- Duration: 4–6 months
- Workload: Reduced workload at the beginning during onboarding, then full-time
- Location: Greater Frankfurt am Main area
- Remote Share: Predominantly Onsite/Remote only by arrangement
Responsibilities
- Migration and modernization of the existing network infrastructure to Arista
- Preparation, staging, and configuration of the Arista infrastructure
- Configuration of Arista switching, VLANs, L2/L3, MLAG, LACP, and routing
- Integration and administration of the infrastructure via Arista CloudVision
- Rollout and commissioning of access switches and access points
- Integration of the existing firewall and security environment
- Migration from Cisco ISE to Arista AGNI
- Configuration and validation of 802.1X, MAB, and access policies
- Execution of migrations, cutovers, functional tests, and hypercare
- Technical documentation and handover to the customer
Requirements
Certification: At least Arista ACE Associate (Level 1), preferably ACE Level 3 or Data Center Engineering
Willingness to perform predominantly on-site work in the greater Frankfurt area

- Experience with network rollouts, migrations, and cutover scenarios
- Knowledge in integrating firewall and security systems
