Project overview

Our client from the waste management industry wants to secure its administration for the future and is initiating the generational change of its IT landscape: The existing SAP R/3 system will be replaced and replaced as follows:

Framework conditions:

• SAP Business One for finance, accounting, and controlling
• A modern Source-to-Pay system for purchase requisitions, procurement, invoice verification, and supplier evaluations
• Specialized payroll software for monthly salary calculations
• Start: 01.02.2027

Responsibilities

Profile:

• Overall Project Management & Orchestration: You will manage the parallel introduction of the three sub-projects (SAP Business One, Source-to-Pay, Payroll) and ensure that all systems and interfaces seamlessly integrate by the deadline of 01.01.2028.
• Interface & Data Coordination: You will maintain the overall technological and process view: Master data harmonization, role and authorization concepts, business partner structures, and end-to-end process steps will be synchronized by you to prevent data inconsistencies and duplicate work.
• Team Management & Interface to Management: You will moderate internal specialist and IT teams, manage external implementation partners bindingly, and act as the central point of contact and decision-maker for management.
• Scope Management & Prioritization: You will pragmatically differentiate between "must-have" requirements for go-live and potential "nice-to-have" enhancements for subsequent phases.
• Relief of Operational Departments: You will actively ensure that project issues do not get lost in the daily business of our specialist departments, prepare decisions precisely, and thus secure quality and milestones.
• Change & Risk Management: You will systematically involve future users, cushion technical hurdles, continuously monitor project and personnel resources, and intervene promptly in case of deviations.
• Project Documentation: You will ensure clear, timely, and transparent project and status reporting.
• Experience in ERP Projects: Several years of demonstrable experience in managing complex software rollouts or system migrations (ideally in the SAP environment or in the introduction of finance, procurement, and HR systems).
• Technical & Process System Understanding: Sound knowledge of the interplay of various best-of-breed solutions, especially regarding interface architectures, data migration, and master data maintenance.
• Structure & Assertiveness: You operate methodically in project, risk, and scope management, maintain an overview even with parallel deadlines, and know how to manage critical paths.
• Communication & Mediation Skills: You speak the language of the specialist departments as well as that of IT and external service providers; you convince management with clear situation reports and proposed solutions.
• Hands-on Mentality & Empathy: You understand the challenges of specialist departments in ongoing operations and lead teams motivatingly through change processes.
