Seeking an IT Project Manager for a SAP/Azure migration project involving a data center move and ERP upgrade. The role requires extensive experience in complex transformations, cloud migrations, and SAP environments.
Project overview
For our client, we are looking for an IT Project Manager SAP / Azure Migration.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the technical project layer within the scope of a data center move from a central data center to a Microsoft Azure environment and a parallel ERP upgrade (to SAP ECC 6.0 EHP8).
- Planning, control, and coordination of the migration of an existing ERP landscape into a cloud environment.
- Responsibility for technical project planning and implementation between infrastructure, SAP, and cloud teams.
- Control of migration, upgrade, and transformation activities.
- Close collaboration with business departments and IT organizations within the corporate group.
- Independent project management with a focus on risk management, governance, and sustainable decision-making.
- Support in the preparation and execution of the overall program until successful implementation.
Requirements
- Several years of experience as an IT Project Manager in complex transformation projects.
- Experience with data center moves and/or infrastructure migrations.
- SAP background with an understanding of technical SAP landscapes.
- Experience in the context of ERP upgrades.
- Experience with cloud transformations, ideally migrations to Microsoft Azure.
- Ability to independently plan, control, and implement projects.
- Willingness to work on-site at the client's premises.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience as an SAP Basis Administrator or comparable technical background.
- Project experience in the automotive or industrial SME sector.
- Experience with Azure Landing Zones.
- Certifications such as PMI or PRINCE2.
- Experience in corporate structures and transformation programs.
