IT Security Tester / SIEM Tester - Windows Server & IBM QRadar - Remote - 50PT

Project overview

Dear Freelancers,

We are looking for an IT Security Tester / SIEM Tester (m/f/d) with sound Windows knowledge and experience with IBM QRadar for the following project for a client:

Responsibilities

• Execution and validation of existing security use cases based on defined test cases
• Systematic testing of the Windows Server landscape with regard to security-relevant events and their correct detection
• Verification of the processing of Windows Security Events in the SIEM system IBM QRadar
• Execution of end-to-end tests to validate the complete processing chain – from the security event on the Windows system to detection and alerting in QRadar
• Testing of existing detection rules and alarms based on defined use cases
• Analysis of discrepancies between expected and actual test results and comprehensible documentation of error patterns
• Documentation of test results, validation of test coverage, and support in quality assurance of the use case library

• Experience in IT security testing, SIEM testing, or a comparable technical role
• Good knowledge in the area of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Windows Security Events
• Practical experience with IBM QRadar or a comparable SIEM system, ideally with IBM QRadar
• Understanding of how Windows logs are captured, transferred to a SIEM, and evaluated there through rules and detection use cases
• Experience in the execution, validation, and documentation of security test cases
• Knowledge in the analysis of security-relevant events and the verification of detection rules and alerts
• Experience with end-to-end tests and systematic error analysis
• Independent, structured, and careful way of working
• Good documentation skills and analytical thinking
• A current CV

• 1-2 comparable projects that demonstrate your relevant experience in SIEM testing, Windows Security, and/or IBM QRadar
